The Wit and Wisdom of Michael Treloar

EoR's favourite radio naturopath was back, dispensing wisdom and herbal supplements.

In reference to EoR's previous post, Mr Treloar again mentioned the magic trinity of bowel conditions, and this time EoR was able to catch what three illnesses are the only ones to affect the bowel. They are: Irritable Bowel Syndrome (so beloved of alternatistas since it's usually of unknown etiology and responds well to the placebo effect), Crohn's Disease, and colitis.

EoR also learnt that fatigue is caused by depression. If you don't feel depressed but are fatigued, then you're just lying to yourself.

Gout can be cured with an epsom salts bath.

Mr Treloar also mentioned his associate who diagnoses through sclera (in passing, EoR wonders what happens when Sclerology findings contradict Iridology findings, particularly when practicing Eyology - though the alternatistas probably never see any contradictions).

Oh, and don't buy your special supplements from the health food store. You must buy them from a naturopath to ensure that they will work (that's 'work' as in 'provide higher levels of income to the naturopath').

  1. I'm sure I've heard about 1 or 2 others, but maybe Mr T doesn't call them diseases...

Perhaps everything else is a consequence of the Big 3? Bowel cancer is therefor a secondary complication of colitis etc. Further reduction of Mr T's theory can relate all bowel diseases to one condition, namely using the bowel for digestive purposes.

Does he apply the same method to other body parts? There is only one illness affecting the head (headache), one disease affecting the spine (backache) etc?

    Looks like I'm qualified already.
