Zapping Good For You

Hulda Clark's method of Zapping Your Way to Happiness appears to have some scientific backing. At least, her book can be purchased through Science Daily. The page is replete with reviews that consistently score it five stars out of five stars.
Again another great book where the critics and negative reviewers are way way off base and did I say clueless. Those of us that have had some biological sciences and other sciences would agree that much of what is said in this one is common sense.

EoR wonders why you should buy it though, when you can use "alternative" methods and download it for free.

I wouldn't call a marketing inclusion on Science Daily "scientific backing."

I was alerted to her a while back and have been looking over her book now that you've provided the link. Thanks!

Quackwatch has an informative page on her: http://www.quackwatch.org/01QuackeryRelatedTopics/Cancer/clark.html

Quackwatch quotes her book The Cure for all Cancers as stating, "All cancers are alike. They are all caused by a parasite. A single parasite! It is the human intestinal fluke."

Quackwatch also reveals, "Her ideas are also advocated by the Dr. Clark Research Association, a group founded in 1998 by David P. Amrein, a Scientologist who describes himself as a freelance consultant in finance and taxes."

  2. Actually, EoR was pointing out the inappropriateness of its inclusion on the Science Daily website. EoR does not believe that all your ills can be cured by gems of wisdom such as "Don't eat off the floor".

  3. Ahh.. I must have been a cup or two short in my caffeine levels...

Still, I think its a good that you posted on it. I didn't get any sense that you agreed with Clark and, like you, I'm a bit dismayed that Science Daily is marketing it. It reminds me of the various outlets that market the Kevin Trudeau book. It also reminds me that $$ speaks louder than reason to businesses and that Science Daily is just a business.

  5. Err, Adam...

Anyone who's done any research knows that Hulda Clark posited that ALL cancer is caused by a liver fluke and that ALL cancer could be cured using her "zapper".

And anyone who's done any research also knows that Hulda Clark also died last year - of cancer.

Anyway, anyone who's done ANY research knows that ALL cancer is a fungus and is cured by sodium bi-carb.

Plus, anyone who's done ANY research knows that ALL cancer is caused by toxins and can be cured with a detox cocktail.

Plus, anyone who's done ANY research knows that ALL cancer is caused by disfigured DNA that can only be corrected with Poly-MVA.

Plus, anyone who's done any research knows that cancer is easily cured with homeopathy or Venus Flytrap or Essiac Tea or a 9-volt battery or meditation or reiki or acupuncture or prayer or... [insert favourite "guaranteed cure for cancer" here].

Oh, and could you please furnish me with a link to descriptions of water purification via high-voltage fields thanks?

  6. High voltages in the range of 20,000-500,000 volts works by "disrupting their cell membranes via an effect called "electroporation," the dilation of the pores in the cell wall. If the electric field is large enough and the duration long enough (microseconds), the pores are irreversibly damaged, and the cell dies" (Final Report: Wastewater Treatment by Pulsed Electric Field Processing). So, yes, this would kill cancer cells. It would also kill all cells if applied to a human body. I fail to see how this would be practical.

The other irony is that, since this post was made Hulda Clark has died. Of cancer.
